3 Ugly Sisters
Serena, the 3 Ugly Sister’s vineyard (affectionately known as the Uglies), is located in the undulating slopes of Pokolbin, in Australia’s famous Hunter Valley Wine Region. In addition to our Chardonnay, Semillon, Shiraz and Merlot grapes the vineyard is virtually self sufficient with its own veggie garden, chooks and other livestock (Gussy gets upset when we discuss the pigs, she names them) and our ever abundant orchard. Agostina’s stuffed Italian olives and home cured prosciutto are almost as famous as our wine and due to unprecedented demand by our clients (who always turn into friends after they attend one of Agostina’s now famous luncheons) this season we are going to include them both in our product range. Agostina’s cheeses are also divine and we are working her as hard as we dare so we can make some of these available to you well.
Also included in this year’s product range is a fabulous blended red from Margaret River (if Cordy stops drinking it) and a Sauvignon Blanc from the NZ Marlborough Region. This year our Chardonnay won Silver at the Royal Easter Show. Over the years we have won many gold, silver and bronze medals. We know our wine is good and although it is nice to be recognised, winning medals is not what we are about. We are a proud Australian Family, of Italian Heritage who has embraced Australia’s wine and food culture.
