Mid February (date to be confirmed) Annual Harvest Moon Degustation Dinner. This year, instead of asking everyone back to Serena for the dinner, we thought we would travel to everyone else so it is going to be held at the Watsons Bay Hotel in Sydney. Our friend Peter Doyle, is going to let the new executive chef loose and has promised it to be every bit as good as Agostina’s. Christobel the superior wine maker will match the wines as usual and Gussy and I will no doubt end up having too much wine and hitting the karaoke machine and looking like idiots. We have many faithful regulars and we always ensure that they come to lunch or dinner at least once a year. This year, with the launch of the new website, we are determined that even though our client base is growing we are still going to meet with all of our friends, old or new. Don’t let that statement put you off as a customer. Just because you like our wine does not mean that you have to like us. Especially Christobel who, to be frank, is always cranky. Some people don’t ever accept our invitations as I think they are scared of what may happen to them when they are locked in a room with us. We don’t mind at all. We invite people as our guests to our lunches and dinners, they are not money making exercises. There is of course a catch! You have to buy wine from us – not by the pallet load, just a case here or there. This will ensure you a spot at the table with us where we can thank you for your support. A date will be provided sometime closer to harvest and we will give you at least four week’s notice. Hope to see you soon.
